3 Ways to Save Money On Your Wedding

We don’t know anyone that’s not looking to save a little money! Wedding planning can get really expensive and budgets begin to shrink.  The goal for all of our brides is to create the wedding of their dreams.  Here are three tips to help you save while still planning the wedding that you’ve always envisioned!

Save on Your Wedding Everyday

Daily deal sites are popping up everywhere—literally! We’ve found a couple across the web that features exclusive wedding deals! The cities where the deals are offered are limited but we’re sure they will expand to major cities across the U.S.  Until then, all of our brides can check out sites such as Wedding Stub and My Daily Wedding Deal to see if there are wedding deals in a city near you (or someone you know)!  For all of our other brides, don’t hesitate to sign up for Groupon, Living Social, or other similar sites to receive daily discounts on beauty, fashion, and vacation deals, in which you and your wedding party can use throughout your months of wedding planning or for savings on your honeymoon!

Here is a fabulous getaway to St. Maarten found today on Living Social that is a great honeymoon escape! See the rest of the details here.

Wedding Dresses

In a recent post, we prepped our newly brides-to-be that got engaged over the holidays for the wedding planning that lies ahead.  As we mentioned, December is the month with the most engagements, so we can assume that January is the busiest month for wedding gown shopping.  In other words brides-to-be, you are not the only bride shopping for a gown.  But don’t be discouraged! The stores understand this fact and have already prepared for your arrival, hence, the Biggest Bridal Sale of the Year at David’s Bridal and similar sales at other bridal shops. Styles of gowns are often limited which may or may not effect your shopping.  If it doesn’t, this is a major way to save on you bridal gown!

Fall and Winter Décor

Planning a winter wonderland themed wedding? Or a warm, colorful special day?  As you may have noticed, after New Year’s everything has gone on sale in preparation for the spring season. To all my snow queens and fall festive brides, this is your opportunity to save! Seasonal items are reduced down in many stores and online for more than 50% off! When shopping, think about items that are versatile and neutral.  Don’t get caught up in the fact that you are saving money and ultimately end up wasting money because you purchased items that you do not need.  Shop by color and theme and avoid purchasing items that are cheesy and will make your wedding look so as well.

Here is an inspiration board created by I Take You, which features seasonal items worth shopping for NOW!  Reindeer (1) and other seasonal themed cupcake toppers (2) are a great find for a winter wedding. Bells (3 &4), silver ornaments (5) and frosted pine cones (5) are items that complement a winter wonderland wedding theme without coming off as over the top.
